Photoworks rendering tips

Recommended Posts

Well- its not a reference plane, but a surface plane. Insert>Surface>Plane

Then you pick a sketch with a closed entity.

I have one comment with using indirectg illumination: if I change the background in the scene editor to anything but "none", I get a very bright render. Even if I choose plain black, the scene is hellishly bright.

bump... i have the same problem.

it looks like turning this on will give a much more realistic render

joeschmoe - really nice render! what did you use as an image for the reflection in the glasses?

Well I followed the guide and think it worked?

Normally use lights, but this route seems quite repeatable.

Cheers

hey joe i know you follwed the guide but was just wondering if you had any more tips on rendering on photoworks.

Man- I missed a lot of posts here for some reason.

Kaiza- the reason that the renders get over-exposed is because the background is treated as a light source. The work around is to render as a tiff with no background. This creates a render of just the model with a transparent background that can be easily filled in Photoshop.

Help,.. I only get a black screen and then my ambient light won't give any light...

Even when I put on all my spotlights there isn't enough light.

How do you make a lighting scene of your own... i only can choose from a list..but I cannot import pionting lights or spotlights myself...
