Solidworks 001 Basic Course

Recommended Posts

Dear friends:

As part of the stuff on my website, I am offering a Free Solidworks Basic Mini Course.

Until now it was presented as normal image pages, but recently I learned some Multimedia development software, and did the Course as an application.

Here the start screen of the course...

I would like your opinion about the course and the way is presented.

Remember, it is kind of an introduction to the more basic things on SW (Sketches, Features and Surfaces) that encourage people to "try" SW.

The course is at the Free Download area

Thanks a lot.

P.D. On the Tutorials section of the Product Design Forums we are going to start to add some other SW Feature related items. Mini tutorials on Features and Surfaces. Just like other Mini Course... Ciao

Ragde,

Very nice basic 101 type tutorial. One thing I would add is that it's never too early to start people thinking about the manufacturing process of whatever they are designing. To be able to machine the first part you make it will need to have some radii in the inside corners to get a tool into.

Dear Muggs:

You are right about that, in fact in another Tutorial I am developing I am presenting that very theme about manufacturing 3D MODELS...

Engio: Welcome!

Thanks both

ciao

Hi RADGE....

I think the tutorial its self is great. Unfortunately, maybe we must running with dual monitor to follow the tutorial. We can't read & practice in the same time if we not run on dual monitor.

Thanks for the tutorial....

Hi Ragde - tried working through to tutorial. Its great - as I'm used to Pro/E.

Just one point though,is it possible to make the tutorial in a "window" mode, instead of full screen?

Great work.

Thanks again.

Hi Friends:

I revised the application and have improved again a little bit.

I added BACK and NEXT navigation arrows to make easier the use of the course while working with SW at the same time.

And also corrected some other bugs I found.

Now actual Version is 1.0.0.1 (you can see that on the front page of the application)

Enjoy!

Ciao

Ragde, many thanks for your time and effort. There isnt alot of SW tutorials out there so Im glad you're helping the design community! Wish I had this in my uni days.

I was wondering Ragde, if/when you have the time, is it possible to do a tutorial on modelling a playstation pad? Thanks

Thanks KQD.

I friend of mine that works doing Multimedia Stuff recommended me a software called Multimedia Builder from MediaChance

It is not a "super" high-end software, but you can do very powerful things with it.

ciao
