Vray And Rhino Renderings

Recommended Posts

Guest Dave_K

Hey everyone,

Here are a few things that i've modelled in rhino and rendered with vray.

This was my first ever rendering of my shoe design.

Bellow is some packaging design. The idea was that all the liquid would flow down to the front corner when the liquid is getting low and it would allow you to use more of the liquid before lossing prime.

Think was my design for an RC water plane

I did the lego man was just for fun I was going to make a little animation with it but I haven't had enough time

I made the lava lamp just to experiment with material settings.

I'd love to hear what you guys think, any suggestions or any question.

Thanks Guys,

David Kirkland

Very nice stuff! The liquid bottle looks unstable, and the lego man has too splotchy background. Other than that - great stuff.

What kind of materials did you use for the lamp?

Yeah the shape of the bottle did end up a little unstable, if i was to do it again i'd mate the bottom a lot flatter.

As for the blotchyness that was because I was using faster render settings. That rendering was just meant for me to check out the materials but I never ended up finshing it. The poor guy still needs some clothes, hair and a face.

For the lamp i made a brushed metal material for the body. The lava stuff has an emissive layer and the rest was just glass materials with a translucent colour.

Have a look a this site.

It's the tutorial i used to make my materials for the lamp.
