i'm working on a backhoe for an iranian company.

they then allowed me to do my method!

Interesting read, thanks! It's pretty similar to the way we design here.. do you often get a clear design brief from your client which describes exactly what they want? Or do you have some freedom as well to think about alternatives that they might never have thought of?

in iran and in the projects that i do, usually the client give me a design brief with description and detail about the work. and then i have time to have a review about the available production and forming processes in the manufactury. in this stage i can design anything and think alternate in the frame of the limitations! ohhhhhhh. sorry my bad english!
