Bluetooth Headset Breakdown

Hey Ragde,

Quick question. How do you cut extrude the bottom split?

post-4562-1163965119_thumb.jpg

I have completed everything but bypassed this section where you cut the left bottom and used the right to extrude.

Any help would be great.

Thank you

Ragde,

After the first 2 initial loft sections, which command did you use for the teardrop shape in step 3? Thanks in advance,

Dear Sixfish:

I hope this would help you...

Don't forget to use the "pierce" relationship with the Profiles and the Guide curves.

Ciao

Right on Ragde! That is what I was asking. I will try to solve the last piece of the puzzle.

Thank you!

Hello Ragde

Is the 3dsketch just a point? I'm using SW2006 for another project, putting together an old mercedes-bus, and I have to end my loft at a point but it doesn't work! Could you help me out?

Kind regards

Dear Mark:

Yes, the 3Dsk is just a point, but you have to be sure that the guide curves reaches that point (remember, just one guide curve per sketch, do not put 2 guide curves in one sketch). ciao

Sorry for reply to such an old thread, however i have recently started learning how to use Solidworks. I've learnt the basics from tutorials and thought i have a go at imitating this headset because it used quite a few of Solidworks features.

I'm just trying to create the basic shape of the mouth piece to practice before i try and create a fully detailed one like the one in this tutorial.

However i'm having trouble using the loft feature when trying to make the mouth piece.

Any advice as to what i'm doing wrong would be appreciated.

Alternatively ragde if it not to cheeky would you be able to upload the Solidwork files for the headset so i can fully understand how you created it.

Cheers.

Cheers mate that sorted out the guide curves for the top plane, however i can't get the lines on the front plane to interest with the loft 'end' sketches (Sketch 5+7). Is there a way of doing this because it will not let me use the mate tool on two sketches in different planes.

Thanks btw for your quick response, and taking the time to help.

Sorry that i haven't replied to your post as i've been abroad for the last couple of weeks.

I do really appreciate you helping me out, and thanks for taking the time to help.

I will try out what you have suggested, if you wouldn't mind uploading your model of the headset so i can get a better understanding of how to make the other parts would be much appreciated.
