These tutorials cover photography of various products in studio environments amongst others, as such very useful as well for product rendering.

Hi Renzsu
I just joined the forum to pick up tips on lighting setup for Photoworks (amongst other things) and not being a professional photographer/designer this link is really 'enlightening' (oops - that was bad!)

Seriously, thanks for the tip and giving me some fresh ideas/solutions

I've found this tutorial on studio quality rendering. It's only a sample, looks pretty good.

Have any body actually bought the tutorial CD?

I do product photography in Arizona and use a multiple light setup for most of my shoots. Lighting your product correctly is the most important factor in the quality of your images. I often use a key light on camera left, and then one for fill on camera right (or vice versa). For more dramatic shots (see the video game controllers) I use a key light just barely camera right/left, and two kickers on either side and in the back of the product to provide some cool rim lighting. Pick up a white glossy tile board from Home Depot to get those Apple-like reflections on the ground.

These tips can, of course, be applied to the digital rendering studio, as well.
