The Award Winning Product Design Programmes at the University of Derby are up to the minute courses providing the skills and knowledge required by employers in todays highly competitive design and manufacturing industries.

 

Each of the programmes have been developed by the product design team at the University who have extensive experience in the field, as well as through input from the industry itself.

 

Our philosophy for our courses and also our teaching is all about passion.

 

We are passionate about all aspects of design and how, as designers we can influence and improve the world around us.

 

We hope that this passion rubs off on our students, however we don’t aim to produce clones. Our students are encouraged to think for themselves and choose projects that they feel they can get the most out of to develop as a designer.
