Q: Painter canvas flipping, how?

Recommended Posts

Basically, watching the gnomon dvd's I saw those guys flipping their canvas a lot, as in mirroring.. now I've searched for a long time but I can't find the flipping keyboard shortcut!! Anybody know if there even is a canvas flipping shortcut?

Agh, this is driving me nuts!

Ah and thanks for that Painter brush question, made me remember this one ;)

Here is my trick ;) :

first go to the menu bar:

edit>preferences>function keys (then pick a function key, F1 to F12)

then go the menu bar again, while having the 'customize keys' window open:

effects>orientation>flip horizontal/vertical

then press 'set' in the 'customize keys' window

et voila, you got a shortcut Renzsu! lol

What is a good use for Flipping in sketching? Just curious, I am a newbie to Painter.

Also, any of those tutorials online for product type sketches? Thanks,
