Best Software For Furniture Design?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I've just started working for a furniture company who are looking to improve and update their cad software, but really dont know what to get and why!

The big debate semms to be Solidworks vs Autocad. Which would you recommend and why? Another programme i've been hearing of is Vectorworks, would anyone say this could be a better option?

I have taken note of the poll that was posted on here before, to which most people favored Solidworks, but only a small number of people actually took part.

I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Thank you very much, have a nice day,

Si.

Solidworks has a partner company called Exactflat which patterns and nests textile. If you go the solidworks route look them up. It's a step below Lectra, but your on the same platform as the engineers.
