Sketching/writing Utensils

I'm doing a research on sketching and writing utensils for my design project.

Since you all are using several tools to communicate your ideas, I would like to know more about it.

 

So, if you could tell me a little bit about your favorite writing/sketching utensil and especially WHY it is you favorite, I would appreciate it a lot.
