On April 4, 2011, an open contest on the subject of plastics extrusion started by Reifenhauser under the motto “Thinking outside the box“. This Extrusioneers® Innovation Contest“ is mainly intended for students.

On our web platform www.extrusioneers-innovation-contest.com we are looking not only for the best ideas on products, processes and machines in plastics extrusion, but also for talented young professionals and out-of-the-box thinkers. All of the ideas entered may be commented and evaluated by the participants in order to encourage communication between all people involved. This refers also to Reifenhäuser experts who will take part in the exchange of ideas and provide feedback. The contest is open to participants worldwide - so the community language is English.



Prizes in a total amount of 20,000 Euros are waiting to be handed out to the winners: Money, iPads and invitations to an innovation workshop at Reifenhäuser. In addtion, the winners may also be given the chance for a joint further development of their ideas.
