The application period for the 9th MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award has been started. We would like to invite you to submit your product, material or developed method as a contribution to the award and give you the opportunity to highlight the innovative competence of your corporation.


The following target groups are invited to participate in the international award: developers, material manufacturers, designers, product managers and construction engineers.

The award is granted to concepts characterized by a great deal of creativity in terms of innovation, design or engineering in the categories Material, Surface, Product or CO2 efficiency. The main focal point of this award is on aerospace, automotive, engineering, sports and technical consumer goods.


The annual award, which has been held since 2003, seeks to outline the importance of materials for industrial design-oriented applications and to encourage a dialogue between material manufacturers, designers and product manufacturers. The award will be granted by MunichExpo Veranstaltungs GmbH, the organizer of MATERIALICA, the international specialist trade fair for material applications, surfaces and product engineering.


The award ceremony will take place on the occasion of the trade fair MATERIALICA on October 18., 2011. All awarded submissions will be presented at the MATERIALICA Design Show in a separate exhibition from October 18.-20., 2011.


Note beside: the application fee of 190 Euro will not be charged for exhibitors of MATERIALICA 2011, the international specialist fair for material applications, surfaces and product engineering in Munich.
