Hi,

This is my first photoshop product render, and I'm planning on using it for Uni applications in the UK. I just wanted to know what you guys think of it and what technical improvements I can look at. So, any feedback is good :)

Thanks

Jenny

Jenny,

There are a few things off, here are some things I see real quick:

1. the left and right arm rest are not the same shape (not sure if that was intentional)

2. You have some perspective issues with the surface twisting a bit

3. The reflection should lie directly underneath the object

4. The head rests are on the same plane either.

Hope that helps

I second what Bradford said.

Fix the perspective and it looks fine. It's good that you've started learning this stuff now. When I was in uni so many people couldnt even use photoshop or any 3d. so i'd thoroughly recommend learning as much as you can before you start uni. mainly because then you will have more time for designing and less for having to learn software! Why not try and render a product like computer tower or something that will let you be creative?

Good luck!

Oh yeah, didn't even realise the arm. I will make sure i look more at these things in the future.

Could you explain what you mean by the second and forth points?

(Sorry I'm really new to this!)

Thank you for your advice :)

Jenny, I went ahead and marked up your drawing (hope you don't mind) indicating the points where the issues were. I also did a very quick version of what I think you wanted it to look like.

Have you tried to loose the headrests completely?

Would like to see that, by the way do you guys use drawing tablets?
