[wip] Solidworks Car: Lamborghini Gallardo

Recommended Posts

Very nice stuff, if the continuity on those surfaces is as tight as it looks that's some nice surfacing.

I wish I had the time to spin a car model these days.

Look forward to seeing some renderings.

Hi! Almost all the surfaces where it needs to be C2 are C2.

I have a friend who is a pro at rendering stuff with PV360 will do some renders of the model for me in a couple of days/weeks.

By the way, I've just finished the car today.

Here's some pictures.

The mirror was tricky with all the surfaces that had to come together.

It took me some time to figure out the best and easy way to get it done.

Here are some quick screenshots of the car:

hi, lincoln,

you left lots of sharp edges on your model. how can you remove them after the whole model is finished?

after adding a fillet, material will be added or removed so that the sharp edge will disappear. But the 3d will no longer perfectly match with the 2d. The bigger the fillet, the bigger the difference.

nothing offend. just sharing my worry.

Hi, seen from effect picture, there is only shape, no thickness, you may consider this if need to put into production.

Since windows are transparent, i get maybe need to design inner parts.

Do you want to make it to be a scaled model? Such as 1:5, or 1:8?

We are experienced for making car model, if need, you can contact me for optimize suggestion--:D

Great work lincoln! :specool:

But is it possible to show us the "zebra stripes" and the "curvature" of the model?

It is very important if the model was created not only for some pretty picture :)

looks good! I too was curious what you were going to do about sharp edges and possibly adding reveals to the doors/hood etc for realism. They really drag on the model but its worth it in the renders.

great job!
