Hey... I'm so serious with this design thing that I forget about jokes ... I think after we have some good results we'll spend some time for jokes and other things... till then work.... work... and most important work...!

look really no offence, im not arguing or angery or anything.

but i could tell where you were bring this with your statments,,

i agree my work needs to improve etc, and im all for hard work. but ive been up around the clock on energy drinks, pulling all nighters to asure my work is to the highest standard i can achive. :)

im here on my own in the flat cause my girlfrind whet home for the weekend. and i dont care for much about the other flatmate becuase he is a dirty lazy slob, who does nothing but smoke weed all day and leave the kitchen in a complete dump and i dont have time to tollerate him or that.

so excuess me for trying to make my topic a little bit fun and exciting. i dont see a probelem having a wee joke now and again as long as were serious about the work, it helps me stay uplifted and want to continue to work. if you suck all the fun out of something theres less chance your gona wana do something. After all ...

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy,

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy,

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy,

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy,

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy,

All work and no play made Jack a du........

Hay guys,

now that im finished for University for the summer, now is a good time to practice my skills and get them up to Par for my Final year etc.

im hoping you guys can post a few different ways that i can practise my basic skills.

eg, drawing in perspective, eclipse from different angles, and lighting and shadowing on geo-forms.

this way you guys can point me in the right direction on what needs to be improved.

Thanks.

Okay, its nice that you are willign to work when you are on your break.

to work on your straight lines:

- draw pages of lines, just straight lines, and remember to overlap them several times, and see if you can get it to look like just 1 line. This will dramatically and quickly improve your lineweight, and your line flow.

once you got GOOD at the first exercise, you can try drawing them from 1 dot to another dot.

(remember to make them parallel to each other)

to work on your curves: (i am doing this right now)

- exactly the same as the straight line exercises, but with curves

to work on perspective:

-first of all, even though things are made from cube, cyclinder, sphere, and cone, I believe everything starts with a cube. Using cubes and squares are guidelines is very important to an accurate sketch.

- So, draw cubes, rectangular prism, or simply boxes. Using principles of 1 point, 2 points, and 3 points perspective to construct them.

----------------

good luck, work on these if you want to, it will improve you by a lot in a very short time.
