scorpio.tn1 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 interesting, but I can almost name all the brushes that you used XD that thing in the back is really interesting though..... can you explain more about it? Sadley that itself is another brush - stain's or something. is it a bad thing that your able to name off what brushes i used ? or whats a good way of going about using them for my own work ? i just through this together for my girlfriend as a little graphic for her (made one of the yellow circles look like a girls face, did u notice it ??) even though i began by just messing around with the brushes testing them out etc. below is another one i was messing around with using many different brushes. as you can tell i went for the blood splatter look. i think it turned out quite well fairly realistc, bit gorey tho so i found the crosses toned it down a bit. p.s thanks for your feedback once again, im glad that you take the time to comment on my work. Guest Taro Report post Posted April 28, 2009 np, they are interesting work, it makes the audience learn things and sometimes get inspiration from it. I did notice the face, I just never guessed that it would be your girlfriend : ) well, she should be happy ^^ -------------------------------------------------- hmm for now, I would say that.. me being able to name those brushes are bad. I think your work is a bit plain right now, as you said.. just playing with brushes.. so it would be really obvious on your usage of brushes (shows that you are a beginner) I would probably assume that beginners (like myself) tend to 'randomly' play around with brushes, and often we get something really cool.. by luck of course. Make it so that it looks more fulfilled. There are people's work on the net that I can easily name their brushes, HOWEVER, they somehow made it really fancy that... I don't get HOW they put all those brushes together and created the effects. Im not sure if you're doing so right now, but play around with the effects as well as the brushes. wut photoshop do u use btw? cs2,3,4 ??

Guest Gringoire Report post Posted April 30, 2009 You may do whatever you want... but my special eye and artistic sense tells me this is just another "same thing these days"... it's something i see everyday on websites... T-shirts... mobile wallpapers... just this "overwhelming teenage fashion..." ... checkout important webs and you should see the difference... you should have mentioned what kind of website... so that I can understand this creation of yours... thank you! T-shirts... mobile wallpapers... just this "overwhelming teenage fashion..." ... checkout important webs and you should see the difference... you should have mentioned what kind of website... so that I can understand this creation of yours... thank you! i created the last one for use on a website based on a local city near to me. the project brief is called "Hello From Belfast" its a project for Uni, the thing is tho i HATE the tutor taking the class, she constanly takes days off and i only have her 1 day a week. i think shes missed around 9 classes out of 13 weeks. she hasnt taught us anything improtant and alot of the class have been complaining to the course director. she has been completly scatter brained and its been very unclear what she actualy wants from us as students in order to pass. so that being, i created this just to shut her up and that i have at least something done to pass the module. im still working on things for it so hopefully by the end it will look ok. Guest Gringoire Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Hahaha... I have similar teachers here in my country... the difference is that I don't give a @#$@#$ thing about what they give us because I don't want to be an electrician... at least not in this life... But if I were at a design school and my teacher would have done such a ting... it would have been a total difference... Thanks for the info... ok ... then good luck... I hope you'll pass... scorpio.tn1 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2009 some cartoony charcter design sketchs renderd with trias on marker pad. they look good in person, but crap after i scanned them in also edited one in photoshop (the one with the grey background around the head) il be creating a Flash animation for a Uni project, the main goal of the process is Lip Sync, these all go toward research development. feel free to comment, (shame the detail was lost after the scan in tho) (perhaps il try to rescan them in at a later date)

Good job! yea i think i know what u mean, il try and watch out for that. it shouldnt really matter tho, cause these are just Sample research work. the finished work will be computerised in either Photoshop or more than likely will be Flash. might use some these roughs and photoshop edited ones in flash as undlays to work off from. Guest Taro Report post Posted May 3, 2009 the website thing.. as gringoire already mentioned.. it's common. however, if your target audience is the younger generation, and those things will work, why not use it? Then I went on and read.. the website is for a nearby city right? Hmm.. I'm not sure if that design will work out anymore. ------------------------- nice faces. i like them because they seem special. No anime style, or any other style that is on TV (as far as I know).
