Dear community, this year’s programme of the Berlin Summer University of the Arts offers international seminars and workshops in the field of product design. The programme is located at the Berlin University of the Arts, Germany.
Maybe the following workshop could be of interest to you: "Floating Architecture - Material and Design Strategies" (31th Aug - 06th Sept 2015) This course provides knowledge about material development and the specific characteristics of designing for water-bound architecture and spatial planning. Through project work the participants develop their own innovative materials, corresponding floating structures, and urban designs.
Learning objective:
Acquisition of in-depth knowledge of
composite materials and renewable raw materials
and its use/application in floating structures
Target groups:
As an interdisciplinary colloquium the course offers a unique opportunity for master students, graduates, doctoral candidates, and young professionals in the fields of architecture, urban management, and product design to come to Berlin and exchange ideas on highly contemporary topics.
