Hell Yeah! Keep up the good work! -
Hello everyone! I finished my first draft of my portfolio over break and was hoping to get some input on it. I will be applying for summer internships so I am trying to get the portfolio into professional condition before sending it out. I hope to have everything in order before the month ends. Feel free to ask me any questions as well. The content covers: Construction belt In-flight meal tray Paint roller handle Veterinary Mobile Ultrasound station Furniture Design Medical product Collapsible Kettle Kiosk design Sketchbook (consisting of a truck load of sketches) Portfolio Thank you for your time! -Dino

I just saw this and thought it looked a lot like your designs-- especially the headlights. http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/detroit-20...-concept/med/#3

what a coincidence, I'm also doing interiors right now and I am having difficulty sketching them. It doesn't help that we're also trying to design and learn at the same time. I might post sketches later.

That's a style that some car designers typically use to create more contrast along the far-side of the bumper/front end of the car. for example: This is by Sasha Selipanov who currently works for Volkswagen. Each designer uses various degrees of this... here is link to a tutorial which includes this style: http://www.designertechniques.com/tutorial...ing01-page1.htm

Thedinomeister: Sketches And Renders
thedinomeister replied to thedinomeister's topic in Sketches & Renderings
some are sanford uni-ball, some are BIC ultra's, some are hi-tec c's. The BIC bleads the most making things purple, but I kind of like the effect. Hi Tec C's are gel based so they don't bleed at all. The sanford uni-balls are similar to the pilot precise V5's and are great for teaching yourself not to put down as many lines as you do with a BIC because the line comes out so thick. They still bleed a little though. I change the colors because I think it adds mood to the otherwise blank sketches. And since it's not a final render so to speak, I think it takes it up a notch for presentation capability. Here are some of the originals: -
