  1. The answer for your question is "yes". Anyone can learn your so-called "sketch in 3D" through some good lessons. in concept design field they call it as "Dynamic sketch",in my words I call it as "3D modeling on paper". The key concept to do so is thinking in 3D modeling mode when drawing(on 2D papers). but there is a big problem ~there are few lessons talking about this in the world. Scott Robertson'DVD is pretty good but it's contents was quiet difficult for a beginner. if you need to learn about it ,check my lessons in blog~ http://onemanshowdesigninstitute.blogspot.com/search/label/3.3%20%E8%A8%AD%E8%A8%88%E7%B9%AA%E5%9C%96%E8%AC%9B%E5%A0%82%EF%BC%8D%E7%A9%BA%E9%96%93%E9%82%8F%E8%BC%AF%E3%80%80sketch%20lesson-spatial%20logic (use google auto-translate,I think...)

    Sketch Lessons In My Blog

hello! guys. I'm starting to write a blog which is talking about "design", and it contents some sketch lessons as well,I hope it can give you a little help! of course the contents will growing slowly. but the only problem is ~it's a Chinese blog!!! (due to my poor English) http://onemanshowdesigninstitute.blogspot.com/ I guess there are some of you can read Chinese because there are always some Asia students all over the world. or maybe you can try "idiot auto translate" in right side of blog. unlike other step by step tutorials, the lessons will focus on "how &why", I try to explain the basic theory and concept in sketch and tell you how it works, instead of just show you the process and final result but didn't explain anything. feel free and drop me your response or question! cheers~
