well, If i owed a Land rover discorvery and had tons of money to waste. . what would stop me "Pimping" it out and lowering it to a few mm above ground clearance. I dont think that was in the original desgin for that vehicle and so i would be wasting some design aspects (going off road) it would be for street crusing instead. in the images above i realise some are "lowered", i dont think it was in the origainal design. il leave it up to you which ones you think above have been Pimped. whats your conception of "Big" ? yes these vehicles may be big, but compared to an armourd van or a Tank ? the point i was trying to make that the VW Van is Funky it appeals to beach bums, its colourfull, when i look at it i dont think this vehicle looks out of place. its got plenty of windows, and nice curves so its not, emm - offensive, harsh, tankish, indimating. when i look at it i feel a warmth inside becuase when i see it i think of the beach, summer, and fun, huddled around it drinking beer out of a cooler playing music etc. Also in the photos (not the pimped ones) notice the solid style rims. no where for sand and dirt to get stuck into. I had a look at the Honda and FJ Cruser and i like them, i think you could get a really good design working with elements from them, i like how the doors open and i like the pickup style back to it. you should look into what the coast guard yellow 4x4 is from like baywatch etc you know the one im talking about ?? when i said go back to the drawing board i didnt mean forget this idea or project, i ment, scrap that SUV drawing of yours that everyone thinks is Bulky and beefy as they think it doesnt suit. when you took there advice instead of recreating it in a new drawing, you just edited the SUV drawing and it didnt hide the fact that it was the same Beefy SUV. Just trying to help you you out. hope it helps.

sry for double post but heres another point, Why is it a low rider ?! look how low its siting it would be for ever getting stuck in the sand. and them fancy spoked wheels, i can picture sand and dirt geting stuck in there all the time that it would Cake itself on unless cleaned all the time.

its still not working, its as if ur trying to breath fire into a dead flame. you seem to be working over the top of that Armord Van. i think we all astablished that design just dosent work. Scrap it and move on. start with a blank canvais and go back to the drawing board think of the beach elements and work them into your design. IE - Waves, 4x4, sand, water, heat, and cool. (dont think many beach boys will be picking up chicks in a Tank, more like little kids !! if i saw that big van driving down my street id think .. thats a right looking dodgy thing. Start from scrach. scrap that tank and move on.

just for the record, when i said "agreed - much better" i ment that it was better IMO than the first drawing but i had also noticed all of the above mistakes. whats your background ? do you study or have a job ? how long you been in the art buisness etc ?

Number 2 dosent look silly ... im a die hard fan of "Red Dwraf" and its prity Spot on, and they are the actual colours used in the show. As for 1 + 3 Great job on recreating "Portal" i aggree with the reflection and room enviroment like JMC said above and i would have liked it if it was sitting more to the right. (more empty space to the left) and maybe a nice refelection off the ground done in photo shop. I like 3 the best - it just works.

I must say when i first looked at this i thought .. "is that a radio attacted to a bath/sink plug ?!" so im gona have to agree that this would be more suited as a bathroom radio with a sucker that sticks to walls. or an underwater bath radio that floats or dilivers underwater relaxing sound vibrations noises.

i really like this new one, but it looks more like the Volvo Concepts go take a look at there site and concept cars. espically the, Volvo s60 very similar design IMO.

The last two posts are really good sketches! Good job! Good shading and lighting, and colors make the work more cheerful. Lineweight still isn't perfect but it's not really critical, you'll simply learn it with time and practice probably. the black dots logo reminds me of a Dog Footprint, its all i see when i look at it. dono if that helps or not
