    Elements In Cars.

once again (and im sorry if i sound like im attacking this guy) but i agree. you have created a section in the Sketches and Renderings and its neither. i also feel you would be better suited among a Body tuning/Work Forum that you can debate amongst yourself. all the stuff ive seen so far of your work (haven't seen much) is like the kinda stuff id see boy racers discussing or something id see on that show "Pimp My Ride" when you buy a car from a dealer or factory, its fairly plain in design, you don't buy it ready Pimped out with Grills, side skirts, mad bumpers, spoilers etc. (unless its stock extras) ok ive said my peace. sorry if ive offended anyone.

    Elements In Cars.

Totally agreed Well said. i come here less and less cause im sick of reading your rubbish because i get annoyed and ticked off. i come here to upload my work and to view others so i can learn from each other and get " constructive " feedback. Simply put. your ruining it for the rest of us

    Elements In Cars.

dude theres so much Type on that image and with crap colours we cant even see or read what your talking about. do what the guy above did and space it out on white border or somthing, what typeface is that anyway ? its hard on the eyes and your not helping with the choice of colours. you have bunched it all into that image all over the car. it looks crap. Keep it clean, simple and clear to read. and with the lines your doing i cant make out what text and what line is pointing to what. when thats cleard up perhaps we can discuss what your trying to explain. --- now that, thats out of the way. i point id like to toss into the pot would be aerodynamics and wind tunnels. im just thinking perhaps the original design and curves looked good on paper, but in the wind tunnel it Sucked at aerodynamics so some changes had to come into effect and rushing to push production design changed and scarfices had to be made. ?? thats my theory that and cost effective design. Example would be the back badge. why "bulge" around the badge which would cause expence when they know they can just stick the badge on there the way it is and get away with it, cause at the end of the day, are people that "pety" about things that there not going to buy the BMW cause they dont like the little detail of the back badge, they will just end up buying the car cause they like it and forever complain about it to there friends. which means, lower cost to produce for BMW = higher profit margin.

    Page Full Of Doodles!

No offence .. but that was well harsh !! it wasnt even feedback or critique on your part, just down right harsh. Design process starts right at the basics, when working free and without care in some of these drawings you might look at them as a whole and see something like a shape or form that sparks an idea for a product that could be built on. Creativity comes from the right side of the brain, thankfully i naturly use mine becuase im Dyslexic. but the comment you posted is like something i would have heard from a Maths tutor or something (left brain users) Lateral thinkers. Your comment really Ticked me off. If you have nothing constructive to say, say nothing at all.

yea its odd, cause they look perfect on paper. they were done on A3 Layout pad. and scaned in using A4 scanner. some loss of quality in my opinion and they do look slanted when scanned in. like i said its odd cause they look fine in person. perhaps its a trick of the eye, something il look out for.

    some drawings for class work.
  9. Am i right in thinking, create 2 paralell lines, running along the Z axis, then another curved line along the X axis, then use the Brail tool ? pick the X axis line as the generation line, and the 2 paralell lines along the Z axis as main rails. not sure if thats what your wanting to do tho.

    Scorpio.tn1 Work

I was asked by the 3rd year drama students at my Universty to Help with advice and construction of the following, Doll Boxs. They needed 6 Doll boxes, they were to dress up like sexy (adult style) dolls and stand in a box for 2+ hours perfectly still, moving slightly when no one was looking into a new postiotion. There was also other stuff releating to there project going on around them but i was just dealing with the Boxes. I had to give them advice besed on my knowledge i have in Art and Design and what i think would look best. It was tough working with 6 girls, they would often not listion to my advice even if it was for the best. they went ahead with a few things which made more work for me to fix becuase they made mistakes and cused problems. One of the girls before i was brought on board to help, had went ahead with a Test box. she had painted it Midnight Blue, and the inside Gold. and cut the hole out with what i could only think of would have been a butter knife. i presented a simple sketch to the group of how i thought and feel the boxes should look, that they should all be Uniform to show they came from same manufature. to use 2 tone effect to cut down on amout of paint need. to use Clear silver glitter spray to cover the box in a light mist once it was done to give a shineyness instead of Matt colours. to use Clear plastic on the cut hole. Ventilation holes and LED light source to light up the faces of the dolls etc. Most of my better opionions and designs were not used casue the group was bitchy with themselfs (not me) and went ahead and done there own thing without my supervision etc.

hay, i did these, cause i seen others doing them. have i done them right ?? for the lines, i have gone over them 5 times per 1 line. (colume 1 and 2, and along the bottom) and for the lines along the right hand side, 1 = 1 line, 2 = 2 lines, 3 = 3 lines etc.

    Sketch Challenge 11: Animal Instincts

hahah an animal shopping bag !! birds will be flying into are supermarkets with that idea buying stuff and flying off !! I love it. you have to think of NOT making it out of plastic we allready have big problems with wasted plastic bags. has to be bio-degradeable so if a bird flys up a moutain and dumps the bag that it will degrade.

hay, the website vector stuff will be animated and thats only a tiny section of it. still in early development. ive never really made websites before and with my own website had to learn it the hardway, HTML etc that sorta thing. learning how to create Flash websites. to be honest i love all aspects of art. i came to uni and my course is quite broad based. Its only been recently (late last year) that i found the passion in product and Industrial design. like i said before i love every aspect from Research, sketch, concept, render, modeling right through to production. it offers to me the main aspects of art that i like, Sketching, Marker rendering, Software rendering and 3D modeling, even animation. Im also extremley intreseted in the latest technoligys & gadgets which is very usefull information in designing a cutting edge products. any ways, you said ur intrested in how this Audi TT is gona turn out, i havnt had much time to work on it and ive never used this program before either, im more used to solid works and Cobalt. heres a small update.

:worried: Really .. that bad huh ?! il just keep uploading work to my Sketchs topic for you guys to review and look at. id be greatfull of the comments. only way to improve is if someone tells you you Suck. makes you wana go out and prove them wrong which in return ups your game. ive come this far through life and Uni and im still IMO young in the game. im only 22. and have 2 more years at Uni. i cant wait to secure a placement becuase it will be a big insight to a carrer after Uni, and will learn so much. like i said ive completed 3 years of Uni with 2 more to go. and now being £20,000 in debt im not giving up and throwing in the towel. Nothing will stop me geting into Product desing / Industrial Design cause im willing to work to get where i wana go.

Harsher the better ! .. as long as its constructive. Im not gona pass down an offer for help, i would be greatfull. Tips on sketching and improving would be great thanks and theres not a chance im giving up, ive worked my way through 3 years of Universtiy with a placement and a final year to go and so far ive been scoring High 60's / 70's in my subjects. tutors all like my style of Sketch work and feel its really strong, odd how you dont like it but thats your opinion and i like to hear it. (how else can i improve) some of that work in the portfolio is at least 4years old from my Foundation Degree couse. it was my first Digital portfolio and it prob hasnt been constructed properley. look any help you can give so i can improve will be really helpfull cause i would like to move into the product design area, its what i want to focus on in a carrer every aspect of it i love from idea, sketch, concept, render, modeling, production. thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.

    Alex Marshall's Portfolio

i love the Construction equipment, the Diggers - CAT & JCB i havnt got round to doing any sketchs of construction equipment myself, but theres something i find really awsome about sketching and rendering them. perhaps its the black and yellow and the forms of the diggers and forklifts. i think after looking at your work i wana go and start sketching some Diggers etc and try and come up with a more futurist design or just updated. would be good sketch and rendering practice for me. if you get a chance please check out my portfolio. its on my website, (its also linked on a topic in the portfolio section here) but would be nice for some feedback on my site too, the gallery is a must see too www.markkeenan-design.co.uk cheers
