    Subbuteo Renders

p.s, just after reading some the stuff on the second image. is that i typo in the line, "variations... toll used" shouldnt it be tool ? im not one to judge cause im dyslexic and all. but i know in the world of design to allways triple check type for spelling errors before sending it out to print. but everyone can make mistakes, even big companys. thats why they have printing insurance. so if the print off thousands of posters with a spelling error they got there ass covered.

haahha , something about this i like. il admit im not into football, but i know wht this is. i think that you said you were geting to grips with photoshop the first thing you were doing looked really basic. but as a whole, it seems to work really well. i also thought that this was just a tiny modle, but then i noticed the size of the thing in that image of the guy holding the bit of paper. did u build a repilca out of clay ?? it looks around 400mm in height. or is it an illustion ? (just the normal tiny model size) also think that you should have croped the guy holding the paper out of the frame. if this is a large model made out of clay you should get a scale shot of it. take a photo like you did but put something in the frame like a pen or something so the viewer can judge the scale.

    New Memeber's Sketches

i like it only i have few points you might find usefull. 1. i think the bottom one should also have that wrap around feature, it looks very secure with it. like it wont slip off ur head while jogging etc. 2. no offence but your sketched head is awful. if your gona draw a head, dont add details like eyes etc, and try and create vector art of a body, head, hand etc. here il post some examples. below is one of my Bike nav model i made, and to demonstrate where you would find it and how to hold it etc. also below is my Sub-Tutors work, he combines 3D models with 2D vector graphics, its a good combination.

look really no offence, im not arguing or angery or anything. but i could tell where you were bring this with your statments,, i agree my work needs to improve etc, and im all for hard work. but ive been up around the clock on energy drinks, pulling all nighters to asure my work is to the highest standard i can achive. im here on my own in the flat cause my girlfrind whet home for the weekend. and i dont care for much about the other flatmate becuase he is a dirty lazy slob, who does nothing but smoke weed all day and leave the kitchen in a complete dump and i dont have time to tollerate him or that. so excuess me for trying to make my topic a little bit fun and exciting. i dont see a probelem having a wee joke now and again as long as were serious about the work, it helps me stay uplifted and want to continue to work. if you suck all the fun out of something theres less chance your gona wana do something. After all ... All work and no play made Jack a dull boy, All work and no play made Jack a dull boy, All work and no play made Jack a dull boy, All work and no play made Jack a dull boy, All work and no play made Jack a dull boy, All work and no play made Jack a du........

what bout my other question guys, is there any other music that you would use in your presentations ? the type of music you hear when you have created a 3D model and you have animated the camera to pan around it etc. i think i read somewhere about some CD you can buy that has design music tracks

Im off to bed, totaly shattered. been up around the clock these past few days non stop drawing just trying to pull everything together. not many days left now before everything has to be handed in then im home for the summer. but untill then, its gona be late nights and non-stop drawing. again thanks Taro and everyone else whos been helping me out. if taken it on board and applied it to the work im submitting and i can actually see the difference for the better. just from practicing since your last post ive dished out a good 15 more A3 drawings and render's which aint bad in my opinion saying i should have crashed into bed 9 hours ago. guess thats dedication for ya ! il pick this back up 2mora, or rather, it is 2mora, so technicaly today in a few hours. . . :ermm: ermm ? Yea, i need some sleep. later.

cheers man, thats a nice wee boost ive just after putting together over 50+ full A3 sheets of paper for this project and numbering each one, in order from start to finish. its nice flicking through them in order now, and i can clearly see some sort of progression. in the begining the designs were Boxy and solid, and very sketchy. just spiting out lines to get general shapes and forms then cleaning them up for the ones i thought worked best, then as you go on near the middle and end, the designs start to flow, rounder shapes with fluid in my opinion. and alot more cleaner single lines to depect the form. id love to scan them in to a .PDF to show you, perhaps you would see a better understanding of the project and how its progressed then. but there A3 sheets, and i only have a A4 printer - thats over a 100+ scans, then resizing and cropping each one by hand i need to invest in an A3 scanner / printer

cheers Taro, i like how you put that .. i shouldnt be applying to jobs thinking .. " oh god i hope im good enough for you company please hire me, il make you tea and kiss your ass every day " ... but rather " I know im good and id make a good asit to your team" (without sounding to big headed that you dont get the job cause your too cocky) i do think / know, i have the skills to succeed in a carrer in art, its the only thing ive ever been good at, and i enjoy it everyday. i think i just need some good guidence and some reall, in the feild experiance to excell at what i do. i think one the points you guys where saying was along the lines of .. " you Uni dont seem to be teaching Jack Sh*t " but its to late now. ive only 1 more year to do. i may as well finish, get my degree because it will be a big step to geting my foot in the door when it comes to job interviews. i think i know myself that perhaps i could have picked a better University but i wouldnt change anything if i could do it all again. ive had some of my best experiance here. i do think tho the teaching could be improved. with other courses you can focus on a single element, where as on this course its lots of elemets together in on, Graphic, animation, 3D, Product, Typgography and Web. i think it will be good in the end to say that i have Degree class teaching in each area of design. .. but perhaps the way things are i might have to stike it lucky and get a job i love to do that pays well enough for me to be happy. or at some stage i might just have to go back to University to do a "Masters Degree" in a specilized subject weather it be Product design, graphic design, animation etc. what ever i feel most convidant in. i think with UK Universtiys (im not sure where all you guys live ) , that if your scoring in the 60% - 70% range then you know your not Crap at what you do, that if you pull your damm finger out and bust your Balls and score between the 70% - 85% range then your @#$@#$ hot, anything above 90% and your either some loser with no life who just sits in your bedroom all day doing art, prob still living with mother, or your just a freak of nature. all courses varied here, i think its very hard to score above a 80% unless your one of them minor few who just are natually gifted. ( LOL you tend to see documentrys about such kids on TV. 5 year old boy genius ) to awnser Taro question, id love to somehow compare UK grading system to your own grading system, just to see if theres a difference or not. ? perhaps your eduction system is better funded with better teaching ? i live in ireleand remember, and i know alot of people fly off to america or other countrys for better teaching, better jobs, better paychecks. some times i do think, .. " god .. has it really all been worth it, the £20,000+ in debt to go to Uni " " am i really that @#$@#$, that its not been worth my time going to uni and racking up that debt " but i cant let myself think like that, thats the start of giving up and working in some @#$@#$ dead end factory job, or some supermarket with a Degree, £20,000+ in debt, and packing shopping bags for the rest of your life. ive said it before, im not giving up no mater how many people crit, my work, il end up selling paintings on the street before i stop working in the line of art. it will just be intresting to see how far i get in this career, heres hoping i get far. agian thanks for the comments guys, perhaps one day when im succesfull il write a book about these younger days in my life. ( im sure i could sell a few copys and knock a few £££ of that student debt )
