thats a neat idea, a nice refresh...could you make it a bit funkier? Add some colour to the design, maybe the lid? Im thinking electrolux is a bit more fun that what youre porrtraying.
Renders seem very grey aswell? Cool concept though |

You may need to consider supports, if the pipes from the wall are flexi or solid they will not hold up too well when the machine is full of clothes and water... its simply not going to float in mid-air so easily.

Others a very interesting and eye catching idea. -------------------- The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty, and all forms of human life.

It's nice to see a different approach to an everyday product! Love the concept, reckon it'd be pretty complex to make it actually work though!

Good solution to the problem of watertight and able to rotate.
But how do you get the water in? Power supply is not a problem - motor at the side rotating the whole axle. I agree that all that water would heavy enough to cause problems for supports. And when spinning, would it absorb the extreme vibration? Could it be made freestanding? |

Machine holders are also plumb installation, spining is not a problem because it`s not fast. Machine is meant to use high pressure not high speed centrifugal spining...

Reminds me of the Wonderwash (review here: Link) which I almost bought last year so I could see how well it worked.
The big question I have is: how do you evacuate the water? both for the rinse cycle and for what is typically the final spin cycle? You say it doesn't rotate quickly (hence the lack of concern over mounts), so you're not doing it with centrifugal effects. But even if you pump it out with a regular pump it seems you'd have a lot of residual water getting dumped out with the clothes. Details appreciated. -------------------- |

I'm still curious how that issue is resolved.
Meanwhile, I see this concept is getting some press: Gizmodo DVice ubergizmo -------------------- |
