How does this thing stop? (no brakes)
How do you get in? Mirrors? Keep pushing it. It's pretty neat looking. -------------------- "the boundries between art and engineering exist only in our minds" - Theo Jansen

That view is nice. I think you should work with the shell look. I don't like the tyre tread on the top image though.

... Then how does one stop? Or look behind them or beside them? The only difference between a motor and a generator is the direction of the current. That's the idea behind regenerative braking. And you could easily use high resolution cameras to see behind you. It's been demonstrated on quite a few production-feasible concepts, so it's not like it's an outlandish idea. -------------------- |

... Then how does one stop? Or look behind them or beside them? I think it's fairly easy to either toss in a quick brake rotor, or just say that it uses a central axle brake, etc. And the camera trick actually works pretty well. The Shelby Cobra concept car was at our school and it uses the 3 cameras with displays mounted in the rear view mirror because the car is too outlandishly wide to use real mirrors. |

Why the choice of coilover rear suspension?
I like its easy access,... but hard to get even alignment with 4 of them and it left out in the open it can be messed with, solution suggestion? shrouds ( maybe clear shrouds, possibly polycarbonite). I really love what you have done,... very inspiring!!!! keep it going |
