the problem i am having is with a colinear break in a trimmed surface edge. Essentially turning a 4 sided patch into a 5 sided problem for me.
In SW or Rhino there are simple tools to heal this problem. How can this be done in Alias? Thanks alot Tim (im sure its dead easy and im just missing a really obvious selection filter some where.....) -------------------- tea driven design

Was that edge created by two seperate intersectons/curves on surface? Or does it just think that it's got 5 boundry edges?
Easiest way to fix is to untrim, duplicate your curves on surface and if necessary attach them into one clean curve, and then reproject and trim. If thats not whats going on try posting a screenshot so I can better understand. |

As always it seems that you guys have hit the nail on the head, I had 2 colinear COS so that was creating 2 edges, i retrimmed as suggested and was able to fill hte gap. My process was bad i htink.
They way i made this was to cut away a 4 sided area, then using the rail tool i made it curvature on 3 sides a free on the top. Then i tried to fillet the 2, this didnt work so i created another trim to allow me ot manually place in a tangential surface to represent the round at the top of the surface shaping feature. some CV manip was nescessary I attach some screenshots - how do you people go about doing this sort of thing? edit - its the grip of a washing up bottle by the way. (implied tan + symmetry)
