Hi,

This was my entry for KLM Indonesia aircraft design competition, the task is to design the KLM aircraft in the next 85 years.
My idea is the SKY TAXI services; in the next 85 years people will be moving from one to other places rapidly and much more frequent than today. Thus, instead of huge and high capacity aircraft, KLM is going to provide the SKY TAXI service; a small - medium capacity aircraft that will move people from one place to other places with such speed, comfort and safety. Traveling with SKY TAXI, we do not need to wait for long boarding and refueling time as we do when we are traveling with huge and high capacity aircrafts nowadays. Moreover, the SKY TAXI serves not only big cities that have huge airports, but as well as the small cities that only have medium or small airports. Overall, SKY TAXI maximizes the time efficiency, performance and has a wide-coverage stations.

The second idea is the MOEDER, it is an aircraft carrier with high capacity. MOEDER serves the long distance destinations/route (e.g Jakarta - Amsterdam) non - stop and it is equipped by 5 medium capacity aircraft that serve the medium distance destination. So, passenger with the long distance destinations and medium distance destinations will be departed at the same time by using MOEDER. After it has reached certain position, it will release the medium capacity aircrafts to serve the medium range distance destination as the MOEDER will be continuing the journey. (i hope you understand what i am trying to say )

The image that i have attached shows the MOEDER with a destination to Amsterdam from Jakarta is releasing the Medium Capacity Aircrafts(MCA). The MCAs have different destinations for instance an MCA has a destination from jakarta to Almaty, but it was carried by the MOEDER first than it is released on air. The other MCAs that has a route of Almaty to Amsterdam, will be departed from Almaty and will be joining the MOEDER. So, this maximizes the time efficiency.
