Number of downloads: 72Welcome to what is already our fourth Design Challenge! The purpose of this challenge is to learn from each other, while competing and having fun. Therefore the challenge will be run in a WIP (Work in Progress) format. This time we have 3 prizes! For more info on the stuff that you can win in this contest, check our prizes topic here: link Subject of the challenge: 'Design extreme sports equipment for the year 2020' ; Choose an existing extreme sport and design related future equipment. Or create a new extreme sport and design the associated equipment, the choice is yours! Take cultural and technological developments in consideration when designing the equipment. Registration: Each member of Product Design Forums has the right to participate. Entry submission: Each participant must start an own entry thread/topic within this forum, to show the entry's design development which is open to feedback from members till the 31st of August. If no work in progress thread/topic is shown, the entry will not be entitled for judgment. You must use Rhinoceros to create a 3D model of your design (It's not required to make a render of this model), make sure you post progress screenshots in your entry thread/topic. McNeel will offer free tech support to all participants, even if they use an Eval version (see http://www.eu.rhino3d.com/productdesignforums2007.htm ) This might be the perfect opportunity to learn Rhinoceros! Judgment: Each member of Product Design Forums is able to give a single vote to a design entry through a poll within this forum from the 1st till the 7th of September. The top 3 entries will be forwarded to McNeel, who will chose the 1st, second and 3rd prize winners. Result: The ranking of the 3 winners of the topic will be announced on September 21st. McNeel will announce the contest and the winners on their website and eNews. Terms & Conditions: 1. After the submission period closes, we will submit your email address to McNeel for the McNeel newsletter. 2. Product Design Forums members and moderators/administrators may enter the competition, though moderators/administrators are not eligible for the prize. Membership is free of charge. Employees of McNeel and Refuelled.com are not allowed to enter the competition. 3. Each participant member may only start one thread. It is not allowed to create multiple accounts to participate more than once. 4. All work entered in the competition must be original and of your creation. Also, no old work can be entered. 5. Rules and results of the competition are final and not subject to debate. You know the drill. 6. Design property rights remain with the designer, but the designer agrees with the participation that Product Design Forums may use the design for promotional means. 7. Abuse of the poll will not be accepted. You are not allowed to create multiple member accounts to vote more than once. Suspicious behavior will be tracked. 8.
